Here we are in November of 2022, and it hasn’t broken ground yet. Construction on the opulent $275 million permanent casino and resort was supposed to start at the end of 2021. The Two Kings Casino currently operates out of a temporary space off of I-95. Recent developments, however, indicate this may not be the case.
The Catawba Nation previously said that the inquiry was nothing more than a standard review. We previously noted how federal authorities were reviewing some of the details of the business dealings behind the Kings Mountain Casino.
